
Christ-mas tree cake
Vanilla Cake
INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature (113g)

½ cup canola oil* (120ml)

1 1/2 cup sugar 300g
-
4 eggs room temperature preferred
-
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
-
3 cups all-purpose flour (390g)

1 Tablespoon baking powder
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1 1/4 cup buttermilk room temperature preferred (300ml)

1 batch Chocolate Frosting

INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix all together
too add Christmas flavor, add cinnamon or gingerbread spices
and put in oven for 30-35 minutes at 175 degree.

Putting together the cake
Make as many cakes depending on the size of your final cake in different sized pans to have 4 or more different layers.

level all layers from largest to smallest and fill with cream or raspberry cream (mix frozen raspberry's with whipped cream)
​
once leveled, cut the entire cake into a tree shape, removing all edges, cutting diagonally along the sides.
​
To add the sharp top mush together rests of cake into a tip form and place to cake with a wooden stick
​
place thin layer of red cream on one side and red on other and let chill for an hour
​
pipe star formed spirals onto the cake in the two colors with tip 7
